It’s been a busy month for Reading, as the variety of material on Reading UK CIC’s newsletter seems to suggest.

News in brief:
In addition to the seismic changes in government nationally and the Eurozone internationally, we now have a new local authority: the council's recent AGM put in place a coalition administration made up of the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats; Councillor Andrew Cumpsty was elected Leader of Reading Borough Council and Councillor Kirsten Bayes was elected Deputy Leader for the coming year.
2012 - a year to celebrate
The new partnership leading Reading's plans to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, including our bid to become a city in 2012, met for the first time last month.
